Every  year the Autorama show car series comes to town and while there are many different types of cars that inline tube makes products for we are usually associated with the stock restored muscle cars. The series has many divisions that eventually break down in the finals to Street Rod Car, Street Rod Truck, Modified Motor Cycle and the Restored Division. The restored division covers all types of cars and trucks and many classics just like your local show.  To be invited to Autorama and go through the entrance procedure is proof enough that you have risen above most of the street cars. To place in the class an get a trophy means your car is better than most the cars at the show and is a great honor. Once you place first in your class you are now eligible for special awards - such as; best paint - outstanding engine - best restored and display awards.   It is one of the most prestigious awards you can win and one of the best crafted trophies in the country.  It always features the last years winners and the best of the best.

Every year Inline tube prepares to go for the top and this year we have our own 72 442 W-30 that is part of the traveling show car series. We have earned first in class and best restored of show in 2 other cities and Detroit is one of the most difficult on the schedule. This is the largest indoor hot rod show in the USA and the cars come from all corners of the county. There are over 800 entries, that include anything with wheels and a few with out. There are even classes for boats, bikes, pedal cars and Vans.

Inline tube has traveled to many of the autorama events setting up cars on display and bringing product for our customers to see there is a difference in reproduction parts. We do not sell function only part or close to factory parts. We only sell the best in house made reproduction on the market. We may have started with a couple of tubes and grown to be the largest tube manufacture in the country but tubes are old new compared to all our new products. Today we manufacture Cables, Valves, Exhaust and many other under chassis parts to make your restoration the best it can be.

So far the car has earned 1st place Class Trophy and Best Restored Award in every city. PHS - Jim Mattison "The Man"   58-65 Restored  -   2nd Place Class Award

This 1965 GTO is owned by Jim Mattison of PHS - This was an older restoration that Jim spruced up a bit to get it ready for the show. Dan Jenson did some tuning work and Scott Tieman did some paint work and the car earned a 2nd place.  Inline tube provided all the under body detail items - including; brake and fuel lines, parking brake cables, brake & fuel clips, flex rubber brake hoses, gas tank and all the other details associated with the brakes and suspension.


Ric's Bump & Paint   68-69 Restored  -   1st Place Class Award


This 1969 CR Judge with a Ram Air III and 4 speed trans is another Ric's Bump & Paint restoration that was just finished for the show - Inline tube provided all the under body detail items - including; brake and fuel lines, parking brake cables, brake & fuel clips, flex rubber brake hoses, gas tank and all the other details associated with the brakes and suspension. This is the second year this car was at the autorama and it also earned first in class in 2009.

 68-69 Restored  -   2nd Place Class Award and Outstanding Display Award - The week before in Louisville this car took 1st Place

This 1969 Camaro has been fitted with a cross ram, cowl hood and a set a headers to bring out the ultimate performance of this Factory Z-28 car. This car is owned by Joe Goatley from Louisville KY and painted by the guys at Thompson Hot Rods but assembled by Donnie. Inline tube provided all the under body detail items - including; brake and fuel lines, parking brake cables, brake & fuel clips, flex rubber brake hoses, Brake Valves and other details associated with the brakes and suspension. This is the second show for this car.


70 Plymouth Cuda     1970  Restored  - Mopar -   1st Place Class Award, Outstanding Engine Award


Scott Tieman from Super Car Specialties out of Portland MI
who is well know for his Pontiac restorations brought this Outstanding 70 Plymouth Cuda to the show. This car got first in class and outstanding engine which is one of the special awards. Scott uses inline tube product on all his restorations. This car has inline tube brake and fuel lines, parking brake cables and all the clips that hold them in place and other detail items.


70 Buick GSX     1970  Restored  -  GM   1st Place Class Award, Outstanding Interior Award

Keith Smith from Gregory, MI brought this awesome 70 Buick GSX - this is a 4speed car with AC and one of about 100 4 speeds built.  This car was awarded first place in class and got one of the special awards - Outstanding interior.   This car has inline tube brake and fuel lines, parking brake cables and all the clips that hold them in place and other detail items including the inline tube detail stickers.


Dan Jenson & the Pure Stock   70 Restored  -   This is an all Aluminum Experiential big block 455 car

This 70 Oldsmobile 442 W-30 has something special under the hood. This is one of the very rare and few all aluminum experiential engines produced for racing in the late 60's.   Inline tube provided all the under body detail items - including; brake and fuel lines, parking brake cables, brake & fuel clips, flex rubber brake hoses, gas tank and all the other details associated with the brakes and suspension.


1971 Ford Bronco - 4x4 Utility Wagon 1st Place Class Award


Jack Niederkorn from Elmhurst IL brought this highly detailed 71 Ford Bronco for us all to learn from. The detail was over the top. Jack has spent a good portion of the last several years researching and putting together this truck. The no detail was overlooked
This Bronco proudly displays inline tube brake and fuel lines, parking brake cables and all the clips that hold them in place.


1962 Pontiac Catalina    Altered Restored  49-72-   1st Place Class Award


Dale Hunt brought this freshly restored 62 Catalina and earned a first place award. This car was built to race and has some cool vintage speed parts from back in the day.  -
Inline Tube provided all the brake and fuel lines, engine lines, parking brake cables, clips, and other detail engine and underbody items.


Steve Petro" The Big Shot" - Rev UP Motors  70-79 Consertive Hardtop 1-3 Changes   -   3st Place Class Award


This 1977 Trans am Has gotten the full treatment - This is a body off full restoration. It is a SE car and Steve has not yet decided to put the striping on the car. The engine is built to over 450 HP and he can't resist letting loose with more than a few smokey burn outs.  Inline tube provided all the under body detail items - including; brake and fuel lines, parking brake cables, brake & fuel clips, flex rubber brake hoses, gas tank and all the other details associated with the brakes and suspension.


68 Camaro   Consertive Harttop 67-68  -   1 st Place Class Award


Vince Impastato of Shelby Twp, MI and local race engine builder brought this newly finished Camaro to the show. Vince is one of the most particular engine builders and machinists in the area and you can see it in the craftsmanship of this car.  The car is driven to the summer shows and can be seen all around town.   Inline tube provided all the brake and fuel lines, parking brake cables, clips, and other detail underbody items.


His and Hers   67 Pontiac GTO's  - Cons hardtop 1967 & Custom Convt.   -   1st & 2nd Place Class Awards


Chuck & Debbie Woolery  and the guys at Run Rite Classics built these customer cars to match and they are awesome, Digital dash, slight custom modifications and tri-power for both.  www.runriteclassics.com  Chuck does unique custom work to the GTO's he restores and this is a couple of the modified versions. It takes a while to pick up on all the mild modifications. Chuck opens the hood scoops, smooths out the bottom of the hood, makes a smooth firewall and updates all the wiring. Debbie has everything to do with the stunning color combinations including the pin striping and the finish detail work.  You will see thier excellent work at the GTO nationals and other shows in the area.   Inline tube provided the disc brake conversion and all the brake and fuel lines, parking brake cables, clips, and other detail underbody items. 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge   70 Restored  -   3 rd  Place Class Award & 2nd Place Class Award at Birch Run Autorama

This 70 Judge is owned by George Turner from Hickory Corners, MI. This is a frame off restoration that was completed a few months ago and after going to the Nationals in Dayton Geo has brought it to a few autorama events. This car has plenty of inline tube Pontiac detail items all over it.  Inline tube provided all the under body detail items - including; brake and fuel lines, parking brake cables, brake & fuel clips, flex rubber brake hoses, gas tank and all the other details associated with the brakes and suspension. We went over the car together and also finished the car with a few more inline tube items - including the valve cover AC cap, Air Cleaner lid and some small clips and fasteners. The Next Show is the POCI nationals.


1969 Dodge Dart - Altered Restored  -   2 nd Place Class Award

1969 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 - Altered Restored -  Class Award

1970 Plymouth - Cuda   70- Restored  Mopar -   Place Class Award

1965-66 Impala  Restored 65-66 -    Place Class Award


Bob Just bought this car and
 He lives right around the corner from the inline tube shop and picks his product up from the service department. This car has inline tubes, parking brake cables, clips, hoses, and many detail items.  This car was restored by Scott Tieman over 10 years ago and still looks like a fresh restoration.


70 Challenger R/T    Restored 70 Mopar  -   Place Class Award


Mike Mordarski is a avid Mopar enthusiast working for a local mopar repair and restoration shop in the area. Inline tube provided all the brake and fuel lines, parking brake cables, clips, gas tank and other detail underbody items.


1970 Chevelle SS Frame Display  with all inline tube products - Wrenchers - Classic Muscle Car Restorations


Wrenchers - Classic Muscle Car Restorations from Novi, MI PH 248 504 6344 - had this Chevelle frame on display. It looked more like an inline tube display since it had many products. The frame features inline tube brake and fuel lines, parking brake cables, clips, front disc brake conversion, rear drum kit, suspension bolts and other detail underbody items.


Roseville High School - Roseville MI - Hot Rod High School  Custom Ford -   1st Place Class Award


In the Detroit area there is extreme competition among the local high schools to build the best car for autorama. For the last few years the Roseville High School has been hard to beat. This year they are doing the circuit in hopes to qualify for the ISCA finals. They have many shows complete and if they make it will be the first high school to ever achieve this honor. I wish my high school auto shop was like this.  This car has inline tube tubing products on it. Inline tube also participates in the high school co op program and employs a student every year that usually ends up working full time when school is over. A couple of these students have been working for inline tube for over 8 years.


1932 Ford Roadster - "Timeless" Richard & Paige Udell -   1st Place Class Award


There is 1000 cars at the Detroit Autorama and 8 are picked for the Great 8 Ridler Award and then it is narrowed to one winner. These cars have to be flawless in design, build and display. There is no runner up but this is as close to first as you can get with out getting it.  It is a Great 8 Final Car. The builder is John Williams from Ionia MI and there is a long list of the people that participated in the building of this great machine. Advanced Plating did all the chrome work and body an paint was completed by Jon Watts. Inline tube provided all the stainless tubing and valves and stainless flex hoses. The tubing was polished to chrome and while most of it is hidden there are small hints of it when you look deep into the building of this car.


1940 Ford Pickup     Custom Rod Pickup -   1st Place Class Award


1940 Custom Rod Truck. Nyle Wing of Wings Auto Art  - did all the fabrication, design and building of this truck. He built the engine and dyno tuned it. On the body he cut it , fitted it and welded it together.  He also metal finished, primed and painted it. Nyle at Wings auto art did an incredible job on the body and paint www.wingsautoart.com . It is one of the best paint jobs in the show. Nyle had 4 of his works in the show. Doug Smith of Clinton Twp, MI is the owner.


Higher Education    Custom Convertible Semi  -   2nd Place Class Award


This is the car that the students of Washtenaw Community College built using inline tube products.


1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda - www.Rosevillemoparts.com -   Class Award - Altered restored

Mike Sinorello from Clinton Twp attends just about every show in the area and if famous for the JAX Wax products. Rat Rot in the basement - 1969 Oldsmobile F-85 W-31  - Race Car

James Kryta from Bruce Twp saved this car from the junk heap and put a new interior and rebuilt the engine and left the rest alone. It also features new Crager rims on vintage race tires. The engine was dyno ran and tuned and put out 410 hp from a small block W-31. Inline tube provided brake and fuel lines,  parking brake cables, clips, hoses, and many detail items if you get a chance to see this car it is displayed with many Detroit Drag Way items including: Time Slips, Pit Passes, Dragway flyers, grand stand tickets and other Detroit Dragway items.
